Suulutaaq is a Small, Disadvantaged Business (SDB) general contractor and an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) subsidiary. We provide design/bid/build civil construction, restoration, and construction management services to a broad spectrum of clients. Our corporate office is in Anchorage, Alaska and we maintain operations offices in Suisun City, California and Eugene, Oregon.

We are a general contractor focusing primarily on heavy construction for governmental and commercial projects. Suulutaaq also provides restoration services for stream channels, wild life habitat, integrated ecosystems, and other environmentally sensitive areas. We have the ability to self-perform multiple facets of a project and have access to a wide range of subcontracting disciplines to provide turn-key projects.

Suulutaaq works as a partner with our clients to maximize project efficiencies and to incorporate client ideas into a final cost effective solution. With more than 100 years of combined team experience, we offer our clients extensive knowledge in construction which fosters a well-managed project. We also operate our company to comply with the values of our more than 3,600 Alaskan native shareholders.

Suulutaaq is pronounced "Soo-loo-dock" which means "Gold" in Yupik.

As a subsidiary of The Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC) – we have the financial capacity, vision, reputation, and a large base of workers to complete any project. Suulutaaq’s management provides the construction experience, history, and award winning reputation necessary to perform multi-task complex projects. Suulutaaq uses the latest technologies in equipment, including GPS guided machine control to provide the highest quality product at a competitive price.

The Kuskokwim Company (TKC).

TKC, an Alaska Native Corporation that has approximately 3,600 shareholders, was formed in 1977, when ten village corporations created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and located along the middle region of the Kuskokwim River, merged. The villages include Lower Kalskag, Upper Kalskag, Chuathbaluk, Aniak, Napaimute, Red Devil, Georgetown, Crooked Creek, Sleetmute and Stony River. TKC owns surface rights to more than 950,000 acres in the middle Kuskokwim region.

Suulutaaq has solid experience constructing Federal, state, municipal and commercial projects.

Our project history illustrates our ability to successfully manage a variety of contracts. Through our Federal experience, Suulutaaq has gained a strong knowledge base of Federal contracting requirements. We have served clients throughout the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, as well as in Japan and Guam.
